December & January Competition
I know we’re all busy at Christmas time, so this one is something that can be fun for your kids and extend their reading experience and research skills at the same time.
During the months of December and January, we challenge you to make a diorama of a favorite scene from one of our books.
You can get general instructions on on how to make a diorama by watching the video below, but take it in whatever direction you chose.
You can work as an individual or with siblings, a friend, or a family.
Categories and Prizes
You may enter one of two categories under 10 or 10 and Over. And two sets of prizes—one prize in each category for the most creative diorama, and one prize in each category chosen at random from participants. (This is because I [Janet] never entered a competition when I was a kid that I had a hope of winning on merit!) Each winning entry will get to choose two of our Hero books.
How To Enter
Post a photograph of your entry on our Facebook page Heroes Then and Now, with a brief description of the scene it depicts.
All entries must be submitted by January 30st.
Winners will be announced on a live Facebook broadcast on January 31st, at 3PM EST.
No purchase necessary to enter or win. Physical prizes will be awarded to contestants residing in the USA. Contest winners outside the United States will be awarded digital prizes only.
